Rays of Hope carried out our annual Health Check days recently where 18 medical personnel volunteered their time and resources to check the general health of all children from each of our community-based programmes. These checks included eye, ear and teeth health, as well as overall stats and wellness. For most of the children, this is the only time that they receive any form of medical check-up.

An impressive total of 350 children were comprehensively checked, with 68 of these children being referred to local clinics afterwards for further attention as deemed necessary. This is phenomenal, giving more children the opportunity to receive the healthy start in life that they deserve.

We want to express our gratitude to all of the doctors, nurses, medical students, and community hours students who offered their time to assist us in making the Health Check Days so successful.
