Invest in Alex and claim your tax break for 2018/2019
With financial year-end fast approaching for companies across South Africa, many will be looking into opportunities to make the most out of their hard-earned profits for the year.
According to the Income Tax Act of 1962, businesses operating in South Africa have the right to claim donations made to public benefit organisations as deductions against taxable income. As such, any donation made by a registered business or individual with South African citizenship to Rays of Hope will result in a tax break of up to 10% of taxable income during the year of assessment.
Rays of Hope will provide a Section 18A tax certificate that reflects any donations made, which can be presented to the South African Revenue Service (SARS) to claim deductions.
In addition, Rays of Hope is also able to provide B-BBEE points for Socio-Economic Development (SED) and Enterprise Development (ED), to help businesses to improve their BBBEE scores.
