Jacob Nsibande - Bobs and Make up Hair Salon

Jacob’s story

“I borrowed money from a friend of mine to get a place to rent for a business and to buy stock and equipment in 2009. The following year I had managed to employ two hair stylists.
Until Covid, I was able to employ five people and had clients coming from other surrounding areas outside of Alex and other locations. My business was going very well.”

The impact of COVID and the looting

“They broke in and took my stock and various work appliances were missing. The windows were vandalized and mirrors, lights and chairs damaged.”
