Neo’s future ignited by Rays of Hope programme May 8, 2020/ Posted By : Editorial Team/ 0 comments / Under : News ROH The Ignition Tertiary Education programme run by Rays of Hope selects matriculants from schools in Alexandra, and provides them with holistic support through their tertiary education, and makes sure that they’re ready for the workplace once they graduate. Neo Sibiya is an Ignition alumni, with the programme having provided him with the support he needed to complete a BCom in Economics and Econometrics (Cum Laude), followed by an Honours degree in Economics. Now working as a graduate trainee in operational risk at Standard Bank, Neo accredits the Ignition programme for his success in achieving his goals, whether academic or in other areas of his life. “Ignition prepares students for tertiary education life, whether at university or any other type of tertiary institution, through financial support, mentoring, work readiness workshops, and career guidance and exposure,” he explains. Ignition alumni have found work in industries as diverse as microbiology, social work, HR, estate agencies, airlines, oral hygiene, and at Medicins Sans Frontieres International. The programme is always looking for support and offers various opportunities where you can help.
