Workplace skills training improves employability

Many unskilled workers dream of having better jobs and being able to provide more for themselves and their families, but without the soft skills they need to navigate the workplace, opportunities are much harder to grasp.

Through AlexWorks, a Level 1 BBBEE skills development company, your employees can benefit from a five-day SETA accredited course focusing on life skills, such as goal-setting and time management. Learners also gain insight into the complex world of work and their roles within it, including learning how to develop and maintain healthy relationships in the workplace.

There are many BBBEE-related benefits for businesses too. Training qualifies as Skills Development spend, and will count as Category E training spend, and allowing companies to meet the ‘unemployed Black people’ target, which counts for 2.5%. Investing in AlexWorks programmes for your employees also means you will be eligible for Supplier Development spend, which counts for 2% of NPAT. Should you not be in a position to train employees, then AlexWorks can be a beneficiary of Enterprise Development donations too.

For every five people trained by AlexWorks, one person from Alexandra Township and other communities will be given the opportunity to take the same training for free, allowing them to also be and do more.
