This year’s Santa Shoebox Drive at Rays of Hope has been an overwhelming success, bringing festive cheer and much-needed essentials to children in our community. With the support of a number of generous donors, we managed to collect and distribute 120 shoeboxes filled with gifts, toiletries, toys and clothing to children who otherwise might not have experienced the joy of the season.
Each box was thoughtfully prepared with love and care, and the impact was evident. From shy smiles to bursts of excitement, the children’s reactions reaffirmed the importance of this annual initiative.
“This success is a testament to the power of community and generosity. Every contribution, whether a donated shoebox or the time spent organising the distribution, played a vital role in making this campaign a triumph,” says Rays of Hope CEO, Muziwethu Zwane.
